On the afternoon of February 28, 2024, our beloved husband, father, brother, nephew and dear friend, Dexter Ryan McGee exchanged his earthly life for life eternal.
Dexter was born to Valerie McGeee McMiller in Yonkers, New York on May 3, 1988.
He was a high school graduate and perfected his culinary skills within the food and nutrition department at Forsyth Medical Center, where he became a manager/supervisor.
Dexter was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People.
He and his teenage sweetheart, Sherell Angelettte Simpson dated for 4 years before becoming as “one” on May 4, 2012; a total of 16 years together as a loving couple.
Dexter was and extraordinary Chef, a “gentle giant” and he loved to laugh and joke. He loved his family. He worked extremely hard to provide for his family (his children that the two created). To Sherell, he was an amazing husband and daddy. He will be solely missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother, Devon McGee and maternal grandparents.
He leaves cherished memories to his wife, Sherell Angelette Simpson of the home, children, Ahmad McGee, Kingston McGee, and Tahj McGee; brothers, Joseph McGee, Antoine McGee, Tommy McGee and Christopher McGee; in-laws, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
