Hairston Funeral Home Honors Four
Hairston Funeral Home, Inc., honored four outstanding individuals, April 28, 2013 at their 1st O.P.E.G. (Ordinary People with Extra Ordinary Gifts) Community Recognition Program, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Spencer, North Carolina.
Honorees were: Mrs. Thomasina Holland, Mrs. Mary White, Ms. Cynthia Stoner and Mr. Sean Huff. Each honoree's "special gift" was read by committee members with presentations of plaques and additional accolades shared from family and friends. Rev. Alexis Allen, Associate Pastor of Jerusalem Baptis Church, presided. Mr. William Peoples of First Calvary Baptist Church delivered the invocation; scripture was read by Rev. Nasby Mills, Jr., Pastor of Progressive Outreach Ministries; and prayer by, Rev. Arthur Heggins, pastor of St. Luke Baptist Church. Mrs. Velveeta Reid-Hairston shared the purpose of the O.P.E.G. award, and Mrs. Clara Corry shared a poem as a special salute to honorees. Mr. Keith Holland and Friends provided special music. Hairston Funeral Home, Inc., and its Honors Committee wishes to thank everyone for their participation, support and attendance of and during this program. Committee members include; Tommy H.
