Lelia Pruitt Rudisell, 81, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016, at her home. Born in Rowan County on July 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Hattie Pruitt. She was a retired beautician and she last worked at Rowan Regional Medical Day Care Center.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Yvonne Lazenbury, Pecolia Gray, and Jessie Rankin.  Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Nesbit Chunn Rudisell, son, Nesbit Lamont Rudisell, daughters, Teresa Vinson (Michael), and Vicki Gray (Clarence, Jr.) all of Salisbury; sisters, Hattie Sue Gray (Theodore) of Woodleaf, NC, Ammie Phifer (Hodge) of Baltimore, MD, L.D. Imes, of Woodleaf, NC, and Dezeree Imes of Statesville, NC; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, goddaughter -Teresa Crosslin (Yyron), godson - James Gray, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, including special friends - Mr. and Mrs. Sam Murphy, Mrs. Alice Suber, Pastor Debra Ellison, and Mrs. Annette Brannon.

Services:  The family will receive friends Friday, June 10, 2016,  from 11:00 a.m. – 12 noon, at St. Luke Baptist Church on Hawkinstown Road, and the funeral will follow immediately afterwards.   The burial service will be held at the National Cemetery on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 1:00 p.m.
