Donald Miller Obituary

Surrounded by his loving family, Donald Louis Miller, a faithful servant of Christ, peacefully entered God's eternal embrace on, February 22, 2024.  Born on April 30, 1953 to the late Louise Morrison Miller and James L. Miller, Sr., Donald "Truck" Miller peacefully passed away at the blessed age of 70.  One of seven children, he grew up surrounded by family, learning the values of faith, dedication, and compassion.  He attended the public school system in Winston-Salem and was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served proudly both in the United States and Hawaii.

Donald was a devoted member of the Grace United Holiness Church in Kernersville and attended regularly until his health declined to the degree that he was no longer able to.  Over his lifetime, he was also a member of St. Paul Apostolic Church in Winston-Salem.  His commitment to his faith was unwavering.

Donald's legacy is woven into a beautiful family tapestry, with threads of love spanning generations that will be cherished forever.  He was known throughout his community as a "Gentleman".  He will be sorely missed all who knew him.  May the unwavering kindness and gentleness of Donald Louis Miller continue to inspire us all, and may our own faith guide us through the darkness of grief, knowing that in God's hands, our dear loved one has found everlasting peace.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donald Jr., and his brother, Elder Kenneth L. Clement.

He is survived by two brothers and three sisters. William (Sonia), James (Margaret), Janie (William), Mary (Ricky), and Teresa (Rodney); and a daughter-in-law, Richelle, plus a host of nieces and nephews.

A home going celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. on, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the VA National Cemetery, 202 Government Rd., Salisbury, NC with full military rites.
