Mr. Eugene Carlton Millner, age 80 of Salisbury, passed, Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Peak Resources Nursing Home in Charlotte, NC after a brief illness.  He was born in Rockingham County to the late Kathleen Millner and Jake Wade.  He was educated in the public schools of Rockingham County.  He retired from Piedmont Garden Supply as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk after 30 plus years.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as the volunteer bus driver for the after school program, and sang in the Gospel and Men's Choirs.

Those who shall forever cherish his kind spirit and giving heart are his sons, Rev. Patrick Millner (MeLisa), Charlotte, NC; Carl Millner (Sharon), Eden, NC; Keith Millner (Janet), Eden, NC; and Eugene Millner, III, (Michelle), Salisbury, NC; daughter's, Anna Hinton-Gastonia, NC; Rose Millner, Charlotte, NC; Minister Michele Howell (Walter), Charlotte, NC, Carlissa Millner, Charlotte, NC; and Staci Millner, Salisbury, NC; 26 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Shirley Ave., Salisbury, NC.  Visitation:  12:30 p.m. Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m.  Rev. Dr. Nilous Avery, Pastor/officiant, Rev. Patrick Millner, Eulogist.  Burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park.  The family will assemble at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m.   The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 12:00 p.m..
