Mr. Franklin Roosevelt Davis, Jr., age 59 of Salisbury, earned his heavenly wings on, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Rowan County on, June 30, 1959 to the late Franklin Roosevelt Davis, Sr., and Eunice Mae Davis. He was a graduate of North Rowan High School, an Army Veteran and previously worked in landscaping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Calvin Daniels.
Those who will forever cherish his memory are, his fiance’, Jackie Cherry of the home, step-children, Edward, Darrell and Mary; brothers; Jermaine Davis (Waleska), and Demond Davis (Deborah) all of Georgia; and Maurice Davis (Brandi) of California; sisters, LaTonya Davis and Tangela Davis both of California; aunts, Jacquelyn D. Walker (Hullen), and Vivian D. Moss (Ronald), all of Salisbury; Mae E. Garrison (Willie) and Patricia Cross (Kenneth), all of East Spencer; uncle Freddie Davis; grandsons, Ja’Michael and JauCorey and granddaughter, Deozhanae; a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Services: Thursday, September 13, 2018. 11:00 a.m. Visitation. 11:30 a.m. Funeral-Word of Life Family Worship Center, 726 E. Liberty Street, Salisbury, NC. Rev. Dr. Martha S. Starks, pastor. Elder Virginia P. Brown, eulogist. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the US National Cemetery, Statesville Blvd., location.
The family will receive visitors at the home. Hairston Funeral Home, Inc., is serving the Davis family.
