Stephen Sturgis Obituary

Stephen Donnel Sturgis, formerly of Salisbury, died on March 8, 2018 at his residence in Westlake, Ohio. Born in Salisbury, to Ruby Greenard and the late George Sturgis, he was a graduate of North Rowan High School, class of 1975. He worked at PPG Industries and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was baptized at Fairview Heights Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his aunts; Shirley G. Steele and Betty G. Isaacs. He leaves cherished memories to his wife, Sheila; mother; Ruby Beaty; children; Rahji, Simone and Savion; brothers, Mark Sturgis (Angelina), Damon Beaty (Chelsea), and Channing Peoples; grandchildren; Taylor, and Elijah; special friends, Michael Underwood and Dwight Shipp.

Memorial Service: March 24, 2018, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Northside > Community Center, 729 N. Long Street, East Spencer, NC. Hairston Funeral Home is serving the Sturgis family. Online condolences may be sent to hairstonfh.com
