Mrs. Anna Rice Jones, age 105, of 2835 West Garrison Ave., Baltimore, MD entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Keswick Multi Care Center, Baltimore, MD.

Mrs. Jones was born November 12, 1903 in Rock Hill, SC to the late James and Liza Rice. She was educated in the public schools of Rock Hill, SC.

Mrs. Jones was a retired domestic worker having worked for the Rufty Family. Previously, Mrs. Jones was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boyden Quarters, Mt. Ulla. Presently, she is a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Manuel Jones also preceded her in death.

Those who survive are sons, Willie Jones, China Grove, NC, Robert Jones, Salisbury, NC and Gary Jones, Baltimore, MD; daughters, Mary Rose Washington and Liza Jean Norris (William) both of Baltimore, MD and a granddaughter reared as a daughter, Betty NcNeely (Charlie), Salisbury; brother, Leroy Gaten (Mary Lee), NY, NY; sister, Isabella Watson, Salisbury, NC; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm and visitation 1:30pm Monday at Jerusalem Baptist Church with Reverend Frank Smith, Pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boyden Quarters, Mt. Ulla Cemetery.
