Mr. Arthur Godfrey,age 60, affectionately called Stevie, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Brightmoor Nursing Home, Salisbury.

Mr. Arthur Stevie Godfrey, son of late James "Whistle" and Emma Lee Williams was born April 5, 1948 in Salisbury, NC. On Friday 6, 2009, Mr. Godfrey entered into eternal life.

Mr. Godfrey was a graduate of J.C. Price High School. He was a veteran of the US Army. Previously, he attended the United House of Prayer for All People.

Those who survive to forever cherish his memory are brothers, Richard Godfrey, Newark, NJ, Daniel Boone Godfrey, Salisbury, NC and Robert Godfrey, West Palm Beach, FL; sisters, Mary Louise Burch, Hedy Godfrey and Denise Medley all of Salisbury, NC and Brenda Johnson, Newark, NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins

Funeral will be held Friday, February 13, 2009 at the United House of Prayer for All People in Salisbury, NC. Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Apotle A.M. Oakley, Pastor and Elder Richard Russell, Eulogist, Officiating
