Brenda Carolyn Poole Moses, age 51 of 125 Brown Farm Rd, Salisbury, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Moses was born July 6, 1957 to the late Floyd and Georgeanna Banks Poole, Sr.
She was a graduate of Person High School. After high school, she was recieved her BA degree in English from Winston-Salem Sate University, Masters degree in curriculum Development from Intercontinental University, Weston, FL. She also attended North Carolina Central university where she studied Law.
Brenda was a dedicated teacher, working for several school districts including Monroe County, Key West, FL, Mecklenburg, Charlotte, NC, Vance County, Henderson, NC, Iredell County, Mooresville, NC and Newport News, VA. Her employment was varied not only as an instructor but also a Probation officer in Monroe County, Key West, FL and Charlotte, NC and also as the Executive Director for Big Brothers.
Brenda was member of Matthews-Murkland Presbyterian Church, Charlotte. She was a Sunday School Teacher adn member of the UPW. She also attended covenant Presbyterian Church, Kannapolis, NC where she was a Bible School Teacher. She was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
In 1979, Brenda Married her college sweetheart, Rev. Albert Moses and from that union two children were born, albert Kawon Akil Moses and Ashlee Shakara Moses. Brenda loved her family and was a dedicated wife and mother. She particularly cherished her grandchildren, Briana Ja`dyn Moses, Kaniah Lynn Moses and Kaliah Latrise Oglesby. She was devout Christian who believed wholly in the truth of the gospel, the Lordship of Jesus and Holiness of living. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of thirty years, Rev. Albert Moses; children, Kawon and Ashlee, three grandchildren, two sisters, Eula Street of Hampton, VA, Hattie Lee Johnson (Sumter) of Laurelton, NY; brothers, Floyd Poole of Roxboro, NC, Australia Poole, Springfield, KY, Thomas Poole of Roxboro, NC, Vestal Poole (Frances) Whitesville, NC, Robert Poole (Denise) of Durham, NC; one aunt, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Home going services will be Monday, July 6, 2009 at 1:00 pm and visitation at 12:00 noon at Statesville Ave., Charlotte, NC with Pastor, Rev. Dr. Michael Robinson, officiating and Rev. Richard McNeill, Eulogist. Burial will be in Covenant Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
