Charles Woods Obituary

Mr. Charles Woods, 69, of 110 Rhema Circle, Salisbury died Friday at the Brian Center, Salisbury.

He was born January 2, 1939 in Rowan County to Anna Jean Hyde Woods and the late Conyurs Woods.

Mr. Woods attended R. A. Clement High School, Cleveland. He retired from the W. G. "Bill" Hefner V. A. Medical Center.

He was a member of Erwin Temple CME Church, Woodleaf.

Survivors are a son, Charles Smith, Salisbury, NC; daughters, Karen Smith and Jacqueline (Terry) Mills both of Salisbury, NC and Rosalyn (Terry) Kelly, Concord, NC; mother, Anna Jean Hyde Woods, Salisbury, NC; brother, David Lee Woods, Kannapolis, NC; sisters, Bernice (Grace) Imes, Salisbury, NC and Vera Mae Hosch, Mocksville, NC; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm and visitation at 1:00 pm Thursday, at Erwin Temple CME Church, Woodleaf. The Reverend Melvin Kelser, Eulogist, officiating and the Reverend Ervin Hannah, Pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will at the home of a daughter, Karen Smith, 214 South Lloyd Street, Salisbury.
