Mr. Clarence "Soki" Gaither, Jr., age 53, of 1120 Partee Drive, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Brightmoor Nursing Center, Salisbury. Mr. Gaither was born June 28, 1953 to Kathryne Maude Gaither and the late Clarence Gaither, Sr. He was disabled. He was a member of New Piney Grove Baptist Church, where he was an avid singer.

Survivors are his mother, Kathryne Maude Partee Gaither of the home, brothers, Arthur Gaither, Gatherburg, Md., Joseph Gaither and Thomas Gaither, both of Washington, DC; and Timothy Gaither (Angie), Suitland, Md.; sisters, Vanessa Gaither, Daphene Gaither and Delfini Gaither all of Washington, DC., LeVon Gaither, Newport News, Va., and LeNora Gaither, Richmond, Va., and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at New Piney Grove Baptist Church, Kannapolis with the pastor, Rev. Tracy Caldwell, officiating.
