Mr. Claudie Lee Smith, Jr., age 50, of 514 Layfayette Circle, Salisbury died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte ,NC.

He was born October 29, 1956 in Rowan County to the late Claudie and Sarah Bertha Cowan Smith.

He was a graduate of East Rowan High School. He was last employed at Parkdale Mills. He served with the U. S. National Guards.

A member of Hall's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, he was a member of the Senior Choir, Men's Fellowship and Pastor's Aid.

In addtion to his parents preceding him in death, a sister, Kathy Smith also precedes him in death.

Survivors, wife, Angela Watson Smith of the home; brothers, Bryan Keith Smith and Dennis Smith both of Granite Quarry, NC and Eddie L. Smith, Spencer, NC; sister, Gloria Smith, Salisbury, NC; aunts, Mary Ruth Powell and Marselene Cook both of Salisbury ,NC; niece and nephew, Kizzy and Antowan Watson both of Salisbury, NC; father and mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral service Friday 1:00 pm at Hall' Chapel Primitive Baptist Church; visitation at 12:30pm burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
