Deborah Correll Obituary

Mrs. Deborah A. Gillespie Correll, of 1525 N. Ellis St., Salisbury, was born to the late Mr. James Gillespie, and Mr. Peggy Mitchell Holmes on December 20, 1959  in Rowan County. She transitioned from this life on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Mrs. Correll was educated in Rowan County schools.  She worked in the food service industry.  Mrs. Correll was a member of the Dorsett Chapel United Church of Christ,  and was involved in several ministries as her health permitted.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Dennis E. Correll, brother, James Gillespie, sister, Silvia Boger.  Mrs. Correll leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Justin (Latrena) Owens, Anthony Gillespie, Salisbury; brothers, Melvin Mitchell, Salisbury,  Jack (Lavila) Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, both of Spencer;   Claude Gillespie, Winston-Salem, NC. B-in-law, Benny Boger, Spencer;  Six granddaughters, and one grandson  host of nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family and friends.

A walk through visitation will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 12-1

 Private service 1:30 at funeral home. Burial will be held on Monday, March 29, at 9:00 am. US National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC 

 Hairston is serving the Correll, family with sincere and compassionate services.
