Ms. Deborah Diane Chambers Walker answered God’s call on, Monday, June 27, 2022 at the residence of her son, Troy Chambers. She was born in Rowan County on May 21, 1959 to the late Elbert Leon Chambers, Sr., and Annie Heggins Chambers. She was a graduate of Salisbury High School and furthered her education earning college credits towards her goal to become a Certified Nurse Assistant.
She retired from the W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury. She was a member of Faith Temple Triumphant Ministries, Inc.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Elbert Leon Chambers, III, whom she loved dearly and a brother, Elbert Leon Chambers, Jr.
Deborah will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her kind heart for others. She showed great love for her family.
Those who remain to forever cherish her memory are her sons; Troy Chambers, Charlotte, NC; Jerome Chambers (Porsha), Mocksville, NC, and Bobby Chambers, Salisbury, NC; daughter; Donna Turner; brothers; Sampson Chambers, Charlotte, NC, Tony Chambers, and David Chambers (Jennifer), all of Salisbury, NC; and a sister, Linda Chambers, Winston-Salem, NC; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service: Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 12:00 noon. Hairston Funeral Home, 703 S. Main St., Salisbury, NC. Pastor, Dr. Henry C. Diggs, officiant/eulogist. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to: hairstonfh.com
