Mr. Donald Lewis Johnson, age 55, originally, from Salisbury passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009 in Jacksonville FL. He was born December 5, 1955 in Salisbury to the late Mamie Lee Perry and Louis Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a self employed plumber and a veteran of the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jennie and Jimmie Hawthrone and aunts, Vina Hawthorne and Lillie Mae Rhodes.

Those who survive are his wife, Margo Johnson and son, Donald L. Johnson, Jr., Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Dennis (Loretta) Johnson, Salisbury and Benjamin (Jeannette)Johnson, Mocksville, NC; sisters, Emily Perry and Charlotte (Henry Giles) both of Salisbury; uncles, James Hawthorne, Chicago, IL, great aunt, Estella Rimes, Savannah, GA; a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at Hairston Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Nilous Avery, Officiating assisted by Rev. Rodney Barker.

The family shall be at the home of a sister, Emily Perry, of 101 Tree Top Ct., Salisbury.
