Ms. Edna Lucille Vaughters, age 65 of Salisbury, passed, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Brightmoor Nursing Home, Salisbury. She was born in Rowan County on September 12, 1955 to Ivey L. Cowan and the late Bertha Vaughters Titus. She was educated in the Rowan County Public Schools and was last employed with Independent Linen Services as a supervisor.
Those who remain to cherish fond memories are her children, Richard Phillips, Salisbury, NC, Robin Phillips Jones, Salisbury, NC, and Talatha Vaughters, Atlanta, Georgia; brothers; Bruce Lee (Felecia) Titus; her father, Rev. Ivey L. Cowan, Salisbury; sister's Ann Archie Benton, Bertha Renee Harrison and Virgina Wells; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service: April 12, 2021 at Hairston Funeral Home, 703 S. Main St., Salisbury, NC. Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Service: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Minister Teresa Gillespie, officiating. Elder James Williams, eulogist.
The family will receive friends and relatives at 1015 New St., Salisbury, NC.
