Mr. Edward Chisholm Patterson, age 69, of 518 South Long Street, Salisbury entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Laurels of Salisbury.

Mr. Patterson was the son of the late Samuel and Rosa Chisholm Patterson and the grandson of the late Alberta Moffitt Chisholm. He was born January 12, 1940 in Chester, SC..

Mr. Patterson was a graduate of Finley High School, Chester, SC, class of 1959.

He was previously employed at GDX. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Holy Church where he served as a Deacon.

Those who shall cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Wellington Patterson of the home; children, Cassandra Eury, Austin, TX, Vincent "Binky" Eury, Fairfax, VA and DeMarshall Bowers, Salisbury; grandchildren, Ya`el Williams, Shekina Eury, Zachyus Bowers and Israel Bowers and Kishan Sheilds, a god son reared in the home; aunt, Minnie Vaughn, NY, NY; brother-in-law, Willie Wellington (Clementine), Salisbury; sisters-in-law, Nadine Wellington, Gertrude Camps, Bertie Hoyle (Ernest), LaVern Webb (Eugene) all of Salisbury; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:00 pm and visitation at 1:00 pm at First Calvary Baptist Church with Bishop Harvey Rice, Eulogist, Elder Eric Susong, Presiding and Rev. Leamon Brown, Pastor. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
