.Mrs. Elizabeth Dukes Miller, age 95, of Flat Rock Road, Landis, NC passed
October 14, 2015 at the Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis. She was born February
17th 1920 to the late Joseph "Joe" and Annie Manzel Dukes.  She was educated in
the public schools of Rowan County School System. She  retired from China Grove
Cotton Mills. Mrs. Miller previously attended Jerusalem Baptist Church and Mt.
Zion Baptist Church.  In addition to her parent's, she is also preceded in death
by her husband, Earl Miller, sisters; Lethia Sullivan, and Mary Duke Wilson,
and a brother; Lonnie S. Dukes.

Survivors include two sons, Walter Blackwell of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Hubert
Blackwell (Sunny) of Salisbury; 8 grandchildren, a number of
great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service:  Sunday, October 18, 2015-Visitation-2:30 p.m., followed by
funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Darryl Houston, eulogist.  Burial will be
held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at the Historical U.S. National
