Mr. Eric Allen Poe, ge 53, of 137 Sugar Pie Lane, Ofallen, MO. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Eric went home to be with the Lord.

Eric was born February 14,1956 in Salisbury to Allene Brandon Poe and the late Lester Poe, Sr.

He was a 1974 graduate of North Rowan High School and a 1979 graduate of Western North Carolina University, Asheville where he was active with the ROTC.

He was a veteran of the US Army and the US National Guard where he obtain the rank of Captain.

Eric previously attended New Hope AME Zion Church. He was also a member of the Alpha Phi Alphi fraternity.

A Logistic Specialist, Eric was employed with the US Government.

Those who shall cherish his memory are a son, Brandon Allen Poe, Leesburg, VA; daughter, Alaine Rene Poe, Leesburg, VA; mother, Allene Brandon Poe, Salisbury; brother Lester Poe, Jr., Springfield, VA; sisters, Leslie Parker, Salisbury and Vera Poe, Monroesville, PA; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm and visitation 1:00 pm Monday at Southern City Tabernacle AME Zion Church, East Spencer, NC with the Pastor, Rev. Thomas Lee, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
