Mr. Frank Edward Anderson, age 65 of Boundary St., Apt. 5, East Spencer, died, Friday, November 20, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Rowan County on March 20, 1944 to the late, Willie "Red" Anderson and Alene Clodfelter Anderson. He was a graduate of Dunbar High School and attended Livingstone College. He enlisted in the United States Army, where he was in the Special Forces, which marched in the Inaugural Parade for the late President John F. Kennedy. He then joined the United States Navy, where he became a Chief Petty Officer and retired after 25 years of service.

Those who will forever cherish his memory are his sisters, Doris A. Scott, Baltimore Md., Ada A. Smith, and Lorene A. Massey, both of Sailsbury, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Rev. Alonza Williams, Pastor and Eulogist. Visitation at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery, with the Military Honor Guard.
