Obituary
Ms. Gloria Blair Greene, age 87 of Salisbury, quietly passed at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House on, Thursday, August 31, 2023. She was born in Rowan County on December 21, 1935 to the late Robert Blair and Margaret Wilson Blair. She was a graduate of Dunbar High School and furthered her education at North Carolina A&T State University, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies. She taught school in Washington, D.C. for 30 years before retiring and returning to Salisbury, NC in 1997..
She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, East Spencer, North Carolina, where she served as a member of the choir and willing workers.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are family members and close friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge with grateful appreciation all of the help and kindness, Keith and Linda Hensley gave Gloria for many, many years.
Service: Thursday, September 7, 2023, Shady Grove Baptist Church, 600 S. Long St., East Spencer, NC. Visitation:12:00-12:30. The funeral will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. Rev. Andrew Davis, Interim Pastor-Eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
