On Thursday, September 18, 2025, Hattie Mae Streater Myers, age 79 quietly slipped away from her earthly home to life eternal. She was born in Chesterfield, South Carolina on, May 5, 1946 to the late Major Streater and the late Jose Bell McManus Streater. She was educated in the public schools of Chesterfield, and earned a degree in Early Childhood at Rowan Technical Community College. She was last employed with Cannon Mills.
Hattie was a faithful member of Solid Rock Church of God where she served as a missionary.
Hattie possessed a kind and gentle spirit, always willing to help others. She will be solely missed by her family, her church and her many, many friends.
In addition to her parents, Hattie is preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Myers, her brothers, James Streater, Elton Streater and a grandson, Michael D. Connor, Jr.
Those who remain to cherish fond memories are her loving daughter, Sharon Myers, Salisbury, grand-daughter Latoya Myers, great-grandchildren; Zymier Myers, India Connor, Paris Connor, Zion Connor, and Malik Connor. A sister, Nellie Streater; one aunt, Rosa Mae Streater, Chesterfield, SC, sister-in-law, Peggy Streater, of Salisbury; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Pastor Castell Rolle.
A Service of Celebration and Love will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Solid Rock Church of God, 1004 Locke Street, Salisbury, NC. Visitation: 1:30-2:00. Service begins promptly at 2:00. Rev. Samuel A. Washington, pastor/eulogist.
