James David Johnson

Mr. James David Johnson, passed, Monday, May 24, 2021 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. He was born in Rowan County on, August 10, 1933 to the late David Earl Johnson and Rosie Campbell Johnson. He was educated in the public schools of Rowan County. He was last employed with Crownwood Manufacturing. He previously attended Concord Christian Center.

In addition to his parent's, he is predeceased in death by his wife, Margaret Louise Jones Johnson, daughter, Marilyn Johnson, son, David Lee Johnson, sister, Eva Johnson Geter, brother, Charlie Johnson and great-grandson, De'Andre David Scott.

Those who remain to cherish fond memories are his children; son, Joseph Johnson (Phyllis), Statesville; daughters; Rosie Mae Johnson, Linda Jean Scott (Michael)and Margaret Ann Johnson, brothers; Leroy Johnson (Aretha), Willie Johnson and Clarence Johnson (Sadie). Five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Service: Monday, May 31, 2021 at New Jerusalem Holiness Church (cemetery), 5130 Foster Road, Woodleaf, NC 27054. Visitation-12:30 p.m. Graveside: 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Pastor Cecil Brown, eulogist. Public viewing at the funeral home, Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 1-4.
