Mr. Jasper ("Jabo") Mason Williams, Jr., age 62, of 552 Boxwood Church Road, Mocksville, died, Friday, September 5, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Davie County on, November 27, 1945 to the late Jasper Mason Williams, Sr., and Francis Van Eaton Williams. Besides his parent's, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Williams. He was educated in the Davie County Public School System and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. He was formerly employed with Thomason-Crownwood Products as a furniture assembler and previously attended New Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mrs. Patricia Gregory Williams of the home; a son, Jasper Mason Williams, III (Patricia), Commerce, Ga., a daughter, Roxanne Williams, Washington, DC; step-daughters, Raynika Gregory and Komikka Gregory both of Mocksville; brother, George Williams (Priscilla) Mocksville, and sisters, Ruby Williams, Salisbury and Marilyn Redfern, New Jersey; seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral: Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Thomas Dawson, Jr., officiating. Viewing will be on Monday, September 8, 2008 until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 9, 2008 until 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the home 552 Boxwood Church Rd., Mocksville.
