Jerome Gladden

Mr. Jerome Gladden, son of the late Arthur and late Cora Mae Gladden was born on February 21, 1956 in Washington, D.C. Jerome was called to eternal rest on, October 31, 2024 after a brief illness.

He was educated in the Rowan/Salisbury School System and later received his G.E.D.  He served in the United States Army from July 1977-April 1983.  He was last employed with his good friend, "Al" at H & H Tree Experts.  He was the 2nd in charge of all jobs and known as the "top" Arborist.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Rita Sherman.

Those left to forever cherish his memories are his loving children, Vonetta Gladden, Charlotte, NC;  Montra Wiggins (Christal), Raleigh; NC; Sylvia Grant, Diamond and Treque Saunders all of Washington, DC; sibling; Theodore (Paulette) Gladden, East Spencer, NC; Mildred Walker, Clayton, NC;  Willie (Linda) Gladden, Riverview, Fl; Thomas (Janet) Gladden, Sumter, SC; Oleatha Gladden-Welbon of Clayton, NC. Erma Gladden Headen, East Spencer, NC; Nine grandchildren;Channing, Thaddeus, Keira, Arrington, Everly, Saveyon, Ja'Zyeon, Christina and Royalty, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, Bridgette Hampton..

Service: Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Yadkin Grove Baptist Church-325 Leonard Road, Salisbury, NC 28146. Visitation-11:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.Funeral begins promptly at 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Burial will follow at the US National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC with military rites.  Rev. Arthur Heggins, presiding.  Rev. Leonard Simmons, pastor- Bethlehem AME Church, Winnsboro, South Carolina, Eulogist.
