Joan (Carmichael) Killian

Joan Carmichael Killian quietly slipped into her eternal rest on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, Salisbury, NC.  She was born to the late John and Ruth Carmichael on December 4, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York.  She graduated from Halsey High School in 1968.  In 1971, she married her loving husband, Willie Killian.  To this union, three children were born, Brian, Willie and Lavonda.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Lucius Carmichael, James Carmichael, Norman Carmichael and Glinda Carmichael.

She leaves precious memories to her loving children, Brain Carmichael, Willie Killian and Lavonda Killian; eight grandchildren, Natasha Killian,Ronald Houston, Kennedy Killian, Cameron Killian, Peyton Carmichael, Madison Carmichael, Brianna Carmichael and Brian Junior Carmichael; one sister, Jean Whitfield and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Service: Sunday, May 19, 2024. Lilly's Chapel Church of God, 618 W. Thomas Street, Salisbury, NC.  Visitation: 2:00-2:30.  Funeral begins promptly at 2:30. Pastor Angela Smith, officiating/eulogist. 

The family will receive guests at the residence, 628 Newsome Road, Salisbury, NC.
