Mr. John William Dunlap, age 59 of High Point, NC, passed, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the VA Medical Center, Salsibury. He was born in High Point, NC on, April 5, 1956 to the late Rev. Lonnie Dunlap and Annie Wall Dunlap. In addition to his parent's, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie J. Dunlap and sister; Patricia Ann Dunlap and special sister-in-law Carol Ann Dunlap. He was educated in the public schools of High Point, NC. He was last employed at Flowers Bakery, with 12 years of service and Baltimore Stadium He had a passion for cutting grass. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Marines.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Fleming Dunlap of the home; daughter's, Quanita Fairley (Matthew), High Point, Sophia Dunlap (Chris White), Winston-Salem; brothers; Walter Dunlap, High Point, NC; Arthur Dunlap (Valecia), Thomasville, Ronnie Dunlap (Wendy), Concord; sisters; Annie Perry (John Lee), High Point, Johnsie Burch (Lee), Winston-Salem; stepdaughters, Tangila Williams, Antina Jennings, Terri Rankin, Sheria Rankin and family friend, Russell Grey; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held on, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Trinity Presbyterian Church USA, Salisbury, 1:00 p.m., wake 12:30 to 1, pastor Rev. Olen Bruner, eulogist. Burial will follow in the US National Cemetery with military honors.
