Mr. Johnny Holland, Jr. 69, of 623 Linn Lane, Salisbury, NC died Friday at the W. G. "Bill" Hefner Medical Center. He was the son of the late Johnnie and Madaline Carter Holland, Sr.

He was a graduate of Aggrey High School, Landis, NC and a self employed Brickmason. He was a veteran of the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Jackson Hosch Holland, who died December 20, 2001.

Those who survive are sons, Keith Holland, Bowie, MD, Brian Holland (Sahnita), Punta Gorda, FL and Jeffrey Holland, Concil Bluff, IA; daughters, Natalie Alexander, Largo, MD and Donna Holland, Bowie, MD; step sons, James Thomas Hosch, Jr. (Vernetta) and Amer Willie Hosch, Sr. (Fran) both of Salisbury, NC; step daughters, Thelma Michael (Ralph),Margaret Kelly (Norman), Marilyn Hosch, Jill Tindal (Yusef) and Sharon Coleman (William) all of Salisbury, NC; brother, Jerome Holland, Kannapolis, NC; sister, Jessie Holland "Pat", China Grove, NC; eleven grandchildren; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services 12:30 pm and vistation 12:00 pm Thursday at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, Salisbury, NC with Bishop David Tracy, Officiating; burial with military rites by the Salisbury Rowan Honor Guard in the US National Cemetery.
