Joseph Wayne Luckey

Mr. Joseph Wayne Luckey, age 73 of China Grove, died, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Rowan County on October 23, 1947 to the late Raymond Luckey and Viola Wilkerson Luckey.  He was a graduate of South Rowan High School, and was previously employed with Wal Mart as a stocker.  He retired from the United States Army. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brothers, Robert Jones, Paul Luckey and sister Maxine Luckey.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his sister's, Marie Lowery, of China Grove and Rachel Luckey Parks of Knightdale, NC; nieces, Gayla Blue Luckey, Charlotte, NC; Paula Sherrill; China Grove, NC and Etasha Burris; Charlotte, NC; a nephew,  Henry Jones, China Grove, NC, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Service:  A private service will be held at the funeral home.  Public walk through viewing will be held on, Wednesday,  August 15, 2021 from 1-4 at the funeral home.  Committal service with military honors will be held on, Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.  All attendees to all services must wear masks.
