Ms. LaPromda Arnette Phillips, age 51 of Salisbury, passed, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis. She was born in Washington, DC on, February 4, 1970 to the late Julia Ann Phillips. She was a graduate of Ballou High School, Washington, DC. She was employed with Nazareth’s Children’s Home in the dietary department. She was a member of Fairview Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Phillips.
Precious memories remain with her family; sons, Darrell Phillips (Porsha), Darryl Jackson and Desmond Jackson, all of Salisbury; brothers, Maurice Gilbert, Spartanburg, SC and Damon Adams, Washington, DC.; foster sisters; Andrea Hedgeman, Lexington, NC and Trina Warren, Concord, NC; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service: Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Fairview Heights Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Rd., Salisbury. Visitation; 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Service begins at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Clarence Marlin, pastor/eulogist. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
