LaVonda Nicole Gibson, age 25 of 1300 Old Concord Rd., Salisbury, died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte.

Ms. Gibson was born on May 25, 1982, in Rowan County to Deborah Ellis Gibson and Nathaniel Gibson, both of Salisbury. She graduated from North Rowan High School and was last employed with RHA.

Those who survive are son, Raequan Gibson of the home; daughter, Iyonna Gibson, Charlotte; mother, Deborah Ellis Gibson, Salisbury, and father, Nathaniel Gibson, Salisbury; sister Felicia Gibson, Salisbury; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Elfrances Ellis, Salisbury; paternal grandparents, Edward and Mildred Gibson, Salisbury; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Service: Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Dorsett Chapel United Church of Christ. The pastor, the Rev. Thomas Wyatt will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
