Mrs. Mamie Sue Mance Williams, 65, of 503 Chapel St., China Grove, NC died Sunday at Northeast Medical Center, Concord, NC. She was born February 6, 1943 in Rowan County to Robert Johnson and the late Mable Berry. She was adopted by Lewis and Ethel Setzer Mance.

Mrs. Williams attended Aggrey Memorial High School. She retired from Linn Corriher Mill.

A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, she was a member of the Rising Star Gospel Choir.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Edward Williams in 2005, a daughter, Kimberly Williams in 2007 and a sister, Barbara Rutin.

Survivors are sons, Vincient Williams (Tamara), Columbia, SC, Charles Mance (Linda), Kannapolis, NC, Christopher Williams (Miss), Jonesboro, GA and Michael Williams, Raeford, NC; daughters, Sharon Mance, Kannapolis, NC and Ann "Shortcake" Jordan (Cecil), China Grove, NC; father, Robert Johnson, NY,NY; granddaughters, reared in the home, Brianna and Tammy Downs; twenty-four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Services will 3:00 pm and visitation 2:00 pm Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the pastor, Reverend James I. Smith, Officiating; burial will be 10:00 am Monday at the US National Cemetery.

The family will at the home of a daughter, Ann "Shortcake" Jordan of 540 Kirk Street, China Grove, NC.
