Mrs. Martha C. Henderson, age 90 of Salisbury, passed, Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1927 in York, S.C., to the late Tom Childers and Maude Long Childers. She was a graduate of J. C. Price High School and attended Winston-Salem State University.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Cone Mills as a weaver.
In addition to her parents, her husband Mitchell Henderson; and brothers,John David Childers, Audrey Childers and Joseph Childers preceded her in death.
Survivors include a devoted nephew, Tommy Childers (Theresa) of Salisbury, NC, other extended relatives and friends.
Service will be held on, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Shirley Ave. Salisbury. Rev. Dr. Nilous Avery, II, pastor. Eulogist, Rev. Emily Rivers.
Visitation: 2:00 p.m. Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
