Ms. Martha Marie Hobson, age 76 of 1404 South Salisbury Ave., Salisbury entered eternal life on Saturday November 28, 2009 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Hobson was born July 1, 1933 in Salisbury to the late Marietta Hobson Hamilton and Harry Partee.

She attended the public schools of Rowan County. Ms. Hobson retired from the Salisbury Police Department having worked in Environmental Services.

Ms. Hobson previously attended Dorsett Chapel United Church of Christ.

Her memory shall be forever cherish by her daughter, Mary Lisa Hobson, East Spencer, NC; brother, David R. Thompson "Happy Jack", East Spencer; sister, Magalene Hobson Sturdivant (Clayton), Salisbury; grandchildren, Darrell Smith and Keith Lamont Spears both of East Spencer, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be Friday, December 4, 2009 at 1:00 pm and visitation at 12:30 pm at Dorsett Chapel United Church of Christ with the Pastor, Rev. Thomas Wyatt, officiating
