Mr. Michael Ulyses Thompson, Sr., age 52, passed February 12, 2010 at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston, TX.

Mr. Thompson was born August 19, 1957 in Salisbury, NC to Ola Mae Douglas Thompson and the late Ulyses Thompson.

Michael was a graduate of North Rowan High School, Spencer, NC. He recieved an Associate Degree in air and Space Operations Technology, a BS Degree in Business from Capella University and was currently pursing a Master's Degree in Project Management from Colorado Technical University.

He retired from the US Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after 28 years of service. Currently, he was employed at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston, TX.

He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Granite Quarry, NC and a member of the American Legion, Department of Veteran's Affairs and AARP.

Those who shall forever cherish his memory are his wife, Annette Cauthen Thompson of the home; sons, Michael U. Thompson, Jr. (Ashley), Anchorage, AK, and Marcus Thompson of the home; daughter, Melissa Nichole Hogu (Joel), Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister, Lisa Kelly (Keith), Salisbury, NC; brother, Richard Thompson, Mt. Clair, VA; grandchildren, Aiden Thompson and Sonia Hogu; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,cousins other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service Thursday, February 18, 2010, 2:00 pm at antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Granite Quarry, NC with the Pastor, Rev. Ricky Johnson, Officiating. Burial will be Friday, February 19, 2010, 1:00 pm at US National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
