Mr. Mitchell "Jack" Henderson, Jr., age 80, of 1335 Hollywood Drive, Spencer, NC, died November 23, 2009 at Genesis Healthcare Center. He was born in Rowan County on December 27, 1928 to the late Mitchell Henderson, Sr., and Julia Douglas Henderson. He was a graduate of Dunbar High Schoool and retired from the ABC Board and Southern Railway.

Those who will forever cherish his memory are his wife, Martha Childers Henderson of the home, a son, Daryl Ellis Henderson; and sisters, Mary Graves, Greensboro, NC, and Julia Roseborough (reared as a sister), Spencer, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service: Monday, November 30, 2009-3:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Nilous Avery, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation: Monday, November 30, 2009-2:30 p.m.to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
