Mrs. Narnie W. Davis, age 92, of 920 Legion Club Rd., Salisbury, passed Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at Rowan Regional Medical, Salisbury. She was born October 31, 1917 in Belews Creek, NC to the late Noble Warren and Nora Flint Warren Johnson. She was educated in the public schools of Belews Creek. Mrs. Davis retired from China Grove Cotton Mill. She was a member of White Rock AME Zion Church, Granite Quarry where she was active with the Deaconess Ministry, Parent Body Missionary, Class Leader, Life Members Council and Usher Board. She was an avid cook, gardener and shopper.

Those who precedes her in death are her husband, Zeedee "Zabe" Davis, son, Wallace Davis, brother, Frank Warren and sister, Juanita Kellam. Those who shall cherish her memory are sons, Gene Davis and John Davis (Eva) both of Salisbury; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, thirteen great great grandchildren; an aunt, Martha Dalton, Madison, NC; sisters-in-law, Sidney James, Winnsboro, SC and Dorothy Dent, Phila., PA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm and visitation 1:30 pm Saturday, November 28, 2009 at White Rock AME Zion Church, Granite Quarry with the Pastor, Rev. Glen Morgan, officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery.
