Mr. Nathaniel Hyde, Sr., age 69, of 1031 Grady Street, Salisbury entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 28, 209 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hyde was the son of the late Alexander and Ella Mae Francis Woods Hyde.

He attended R. A. Clement High School. Mr. Hyde was a retired employee of the city of Salisbury and Papco Paving Company. He also worked at M & L mini mart.

He was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church, Salisbury.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death two wives, Sarah W. Hyde and Mamie Everhart Hyde and a son, Nathaniel Hyde, Jr.

Those who shall cherish his memory are a son, Randall D. Hyde (Linda), Salisbury; step sons, Charles Turner and Alvin Turner both of Salisbury; daughters, Natalie Hyde and Nadie Hyde both of Salisbury and Johnnie Michelle Hyde Witherspoon, Brooklyn, NY; step daughters, Nakia Ford, Salisbury and Renee Everhart, Mooresville; bothers, James Hyde and John Phifer both of Statesville; sisters, Vera Mae Hyde Champion and Susan Delores Hyde both of Detroit, MI; four grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm and visitation 2:00 pm Sunday,May 3, 2009 at First Calvary Baptist Church with the Pastor, Rev. Leamon Brown, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
