Reginald E. Hopkins, "Rat" of 323 W. Council St. died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte.

Born July 8, 1956 in Salisbury, Mr. Hopkins was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Johnson Hopkins, Sr.

Mr. Hopkins attended of Salisbury High School.

He was previously employed at Apple Ugly Bakery.

Mr. Hopkins previously attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Refreshing Springs Christian Ministry.

Funeral Services Sunday at 3:30 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Salisbury, NC; visitation 3:00 pm at the church. Hairston Funeral Home Inc. is serving the Hopkins family
