Mr. Robbie "Big Rob" Charles Gillian, Sr., age 60 of 201 Huntington Dr., Salisbury, died, Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He was born in Coretta, West Virginia on April 25, 1948 to the late James Clicks and Ruth Akins Gillian. In addition to his parent's, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Gillian. He graduated from Goshan High School,Goshan, New York and also attended college. He was a Veteran of the US Navy-Vietnam and was a self-employed painter.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are sons; Robby C. Gillian, Jr. (Kendra), Port Jervis, NY; and Raheem Gillian, San Diego, Ca; daughters; Melissa Gillian, Novato, Ca., Lisa Garrison, Oceanside, Ca., and Katie Gillian, Burlington, Vt.; brothers; Dr. Terry Gillian (Karen), Fresno, Ca., Dennis Gillian, Middletown, NY, Ricky Gillian, Charlotte, NC and Kim Gillian, Boston, Ma; a sister, Holley Jones (Larry), Haines City, Fl., eight grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Wake-Saturday, March 21, 2009 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.

Memorial Service-Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Salisbury.

Burial-Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. at the US National Cemetery with the Honor Guard.
