Mr. Robert Lee Blassingame, age 89, formerly of 416 North Long Street, East Spencer, NC died Friday at the W. G. "Bill" Hefner V.A. Medical Center, Salibury, NC.
He was born August 10, 1929 to the late Andrew and Viola Hadden blassingame in Pickens, SC. He attended the public schools of Picken Co. NC.
He retired from Fieldcrest Cannon. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army.
Survivors are grandchildren which includes Matthew Jones of 416 North Long Street, East Spencer, NC. The family shall be meeting at this address.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at the U. S. National Cemetery, Brenner Ave., Salisbury, NC with Chaplain Ethel Bamberg Revis, Officiating. Military Rites by the Salisbury Rowan Honorary guide.
