Mr. Robert L. Jones, 63 of Foster Road, Cleveland, NC, passed Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Gordon Hospice House, Cleveland.  He was born in Salisbury, NC on, March 17, 1954 to the late Theodore and Clara Mae Baker Jones.  He graduated from West Rowan High School and received Vocational Education at Northeastern University, Boston, Mass.  He was last employed at Freightliner Trucking as an assembler.  He attended Moore's Chapel AME Zion Church, Cleveland, NC.

In addition to his parent's, he was predeceased by a son, Richard Lee Jones.

Survivors include his loving, devoted wife, Loretta Geter Jones of the home, sons, Robert D. Montgomery (Quovona), Huntersville, NC, Mark C. Jones (Kenyatta) Charlotte, NC, and Everton Troy Grant (Quiana), Boston, Mass., daughters,Janice D. Jones (Steve), Charlotte, NC, Georgette Wright (Damian), Spencer, NC and Areta D. Turner (Darren), Salisbury; brothers, James A. Jones (Kenya), and V. Dewayne Jones (Varnetta), all of Greensboro, NC; sisters, Priscilla L. Price (Leroy), and Edith J. Hunter, all of Greensboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lewis Jones, Gastonia, NC; a host of aunts uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; and special friend Annie J. Bradley, Tampa, Fla.

Services: April 1, 2017. Visitation: 2:00 p.m.- Funeral: 3:00 p.m., Moore's Chapel AME Zion Church, 5890 S. River Church Rd., Cleveland, NC.  Rev. Eddie Fortson, pastor.  Rev. William Speas, eulogist.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home.
