On January 25, 2016, Evangelist Rosaline Smoot Smith, 59, answered the call of The Heavenly Father to come home.  Rosaline was born in Salisbury, North Carolina, on, June 6, 1956.

Evangelist Smith was a woman of faith and courage.  She lived by the word of God, and shared and counseled people about the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout her life.  She was known for her caring personality and kindness.   At times, she could pleasantly catch you off guard with her humorous way of expressing her thoughts.

Evangelist Rosaline attended RCCC & Salisbury Business College.  She was a professional health care provider, and loved providing years of dedicated service to sick and elderly patients.

Evangelist Rosaline was the granddaughter of Rev. & Mrs. James F. Sawyer, and great-great-granddaughter of Mrs. L.I. McKay of Salisbury, North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her son, Linwood Smoot and mother, Betty S. Ham-Wynn and a favorite great-uncle, Howard (Perk) Perkins.

in addition to her husband, Leo Smith, Jr., she leaves to cherish her memories, father, David E. Smoot, of Tarboro, NC, a step-son, Andre Lee Julien Tyson of Augsburg, Germany; two sisters; Connie Lipscomb & Renee Lawson, of Dover, DE, one brother-in-law, Robert Lawson, Sr., two nieces, Phyllis Scott, Wilmington, DE, and Melanie Lawson, Atlanta, Ga., one nephew, Robert Lawson, Jr., Dover, DE, two great nieces, Corey Carruth and Tandra Chambers, Wilmington, DE, six great-great- nieces and nephews, Wilmington, DE; one aunt, Psyche Coley, Greensboro, NC and one uncle, Levi Coley, Greensboro, NC, and two cousins, Jonathan & Eli Coley.

Arrangements: Monday, February 1, 2016 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Salisbury. Visitation-11:00-11:30 a.m. Funeral-11:30 a.m.  Rev. Eric Susong, eulogist.  Burial will be held on, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 9:00 a.m.
