Mrs. Roxie M. Brown, age 76 of 1285 Flat Rock Road, China Grove, NC, passed, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Carolina Medical Center-Northeast, Concord, NC.  Mrs. Brown was born in Salisbury on, January 10, 1940 to the late Ernest Mitchell and Essie Mae Geter Crawley.  She was a graduate of Dunbar High School, East Spencer and was a domestic engineer. She was the "First Lady" of Smith Chapel Apostolic Holiness Church, where she served with the pastor aide ministry.

Those who will forever cherish her memory are her husband, Bishop A.W. Brown (faithful husband for 56 years) of the home; sons; Perry L. Brown (Marsha), Salisbury, Ernest Brown, of the home, Charles E. Brown, (Cynthia), Salisbury and Kevin Brown of the home; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on, Monday, February 29, 2016 at Smith Chapel Apostolic Holiness Church located at 1735 Mt. Tabor Church Road, Cleveland, NC  27013, Pastor Virginia Byers, eulogist, Sister Victoria Brown, officiating.  Family visitation at 2:00 p.m.,and funeral at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
