Prophetess Sadie Elizabeth Wells Montgomery, age 64 of 308 North Clay Street, died, Monday, September 8, 2008 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Montgomery was born in Guilford County on May 30, 1944 to the late Clement Wells and Roxanne Colson Wells. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Alexander Montgomery in 1995. She was educated in the public schools of Rowan County and was a housewife. She attended various churches in the area.

survivors include her husband, John Thomas Montgomery, Salisbury, sons, John Anthony Montgomery, Jr. (Arnisha), Salisbury, Wilson Andre Montgomery (Belinda), Statesville, and Thomas Lamont Montgomery (Iishia), Charlotte; daughters, Lori Lynette Montgomery (Robert), Salisbury and Sidrena Montgomery, Salisbury; a brother, Clement Wells, Jr., (Paulette), and special cousins, Clarence Wells, Charlotte, and Lillie Mae Wells Harold, Salisbury; eight grandchildren, one great-grand child and additional cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 12, 2008, 3:30 p.m. at Moore's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Cleveland, NC, with Bishop Junior Gray as Eulogist and Rev. William Speas, officiating.

Visitation will be 3:00 at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Other times, the family will be at the home of her husband, John Thomas Montgomery, 613 Lafayette Circle., Salisbury.
