Stella Mae (Phillips) Hurd

Mrs. Stella Mae Phillips Hurd, age 70 of Kannapolis, NC, quietly passed at her residence on, Sunday, May 25, 2025.  She was born in Rowan County on December 16, 1954 to the late Sloan Phillips and Kathleen Heiligh Phillips. She was a graduate and educated in the public schools of Salisbury/Rowan.  Her work experience was in the field of manufacturing.  She was a dedicated member of Fairview Heights Baptist Church where she served as a Missionary and a member of the Pastor's Aide.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Phillips.

Those who remain to cherish fond memories are her daughter, Jessica Ford (Brandon), Kannapolis, NC; brother, Randolph Phillips (Stephanie), Salisbury, NC; sisters; Mary Ann Phillips, Greensboro, NC and Louise Adams (Curtis), Raleigh, NC; grandchildren; Jaevion Eberhart-Ford, Brandon Ford, Jr., Brailyn Ford, and Jalayah Ford, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended relatives and friends.

Service:  Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Fairview Heights Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Rd., Salisbury, NC  28144.  Visitation: 12:30 p.m.  Funeral begins promptly at 1:00 p.m.  Rev. Clarence Marlin, pastor/eulogist.  

Public viewing will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Hairston Funeral Home, 703 S. Main St., Salisbury, NC  28144 from 1:00 pm.-7:00 p.m.
