Sylvia (Givens) Breedlove

Ms. Sylvia Givens Breedlove of Salisbury, passed, Saturday, March 19, 2022.  Born on November 9, 1952 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late, Robert Gill Givens, Sr. and Thelma Smoot Givens.  She was a graduate of Borden High School and attended Delmar College in Corpus Christi, Texas.  She was previously employed with Salisbury/Rowan Schools in the Early Childhood program. She was a member of Thomas St.Church of Christ, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher/Secretary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Breedlove, and brothers, Leonard Calvin Givens and Robert Gill Givens, Jr.

Those who remain to cherish fond memories are sons; Ronald J. Breedlove, Jr., Atlanta, Ga., Robert J. Breedlove, Florida and Ryan J. Breedlove, Charlotte.  Brothers; Nathaniel Givens, Salisbury and Elijah Givens (Willette), Cleveland, NC; sisters, Hannah Givens Carter, New Orleans, Katie Givens Palmer, (Joseph), Raleigh, Thelma Givens Best, Raleigh and Edna Jemerson, Salisbury. Nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Arrangements:  Thomas St. Church of Christ-Saturday, March 26, 2022. Brother Phillip Thompson, eulogist.  Visitation: 12:30 p.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow immediately at Memorial Park Cemetery, Salisbury.   Public viewing, Friday, March 25, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
