Mr. Thomas Earl "Bama" Speigner of Long St., Salisbury, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late R. C. Speigner and Mary Ella Varner Hairston. He was born April 14, 1956 in Chilton County, AL.

Mr. Speigner was educated in the public schools of Chilton County, AL. He was last employed at Taylor Clay Products. He previously attended Big Stream Baptist Church, Verbena, AL.

Those who shall cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy Spratt Speigner, Salisbury; brothers, R. C. Speigner, Jr. (Shirley), Jimmy Speigner and Jerome Speigner all of Salisbury; Bryon Keith Speigner, Clanton, AL; Ricky Ware, Concord, Edwin Lamont Ware (Pam),Fayetteville, NC, and Shunta L. Ware, Grand Rapids, MI;sisters, Adriene L. Ware and Tomika D. Long (Mack), Charlotte, NC; Raven Harris, Prattville, AL and Faye Robinson, Verbena, AL; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 22, 2009 with the visitation at 1:30 pm at Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Reverend Clarence Varner, officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery, Salisbury, NC
