Valerie Denise (McGee) Miller Obituary

On May 23, 2020, Valerie Denise McMiller quietly exchanged this earthly life for life eternal.  She was born in Rowan County on April 15, 1960 to  George McGee, Sr., and the late Bessie Henry McGee. She was always focused, always attentive to every detail that made her house a loving home.  She always made family and friends, whether in small or big numbers, feel welcome to congregate and enjoy one another.


She received her GED from Rowan Cabarrus Community College and earned an Associate Degree in Business from Strayer University.  She was last employed at Love Within Home Care, Charlotte, NC as a Certified Nurse Assistant. She was a member of The United House of Prayer of All People, Salisbury, where she served was an active usher


She was also preceded in death by a son Devon McGee, and brother, George McGee, Jr.


Those who shall forever cherish her memory are her husband, Tyrone Williams, five sons, Joseph, Antoine, Dexter, (Sherell), Christopher (Angela), Tommy McGee. Three brothers, Tony McGee, Mark McGee, Maurice McCullen, five sisters, Paulette Darby,(Marvin), Charlotte, Pamela Smith,(Eddie), Tami Jones, Donisha McGee, Queenie McGee; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.


A private service will be held.


The family of Mrs. Valerie Denise McGee Miller wish to extend a heart felt thank you for your many expressions of kindness shown to us during her brief illness and death.  May God continue to bless you all now and in the day’s ahead.  Please keep our family in your prayers.
